A bouncer or doorman is an informal term for security guards employed at venues such as bars & nightclubs-to provide security,check legal age,refuse entry to a venue based on criteria such as intoxication,aggressive behaviour,crowd size & break up arguments or fights.
They bounce out the troublemakers...sometimes literally!
A bar bouncer is someone who breaks up fights and throws out the troublemakers.
Check ID's, remove people that are causing trouble, monitor the entrance. Provide a safe environment for the patrons at the business.
