How do you pretend to be busy at work?!
Question: I spread papers all over my desk and I also keep a calculator and ruler close by. Seems to work as I spend about 7 hours a day on p&s and they still give me paychecks.

Whenever my boss comes by, I open up the Microsoft outlook, and pretend i'm reading e-mails.
I hope the computers are not all networked together at your work. If they are, they could easily find out if they wanted to.
I constantly tap my keyboard as if I am typing words, when they are just imaginary lol

Maybe you can get your favorite magazines, get a highlighter out and start highlighting random sentences. From far away, it will look like you are reading an important report and highlighting all the important statements.
I always have my work email minimized and then I'll pull it up when someone walks by... I'm at work right now. :)
