Extremely difficult to answer.
Leonard Cohen i found, is a far superior ballad-writer and love song writer, Leonard Cohen is able to draw upon and express great levels of emotion from his music in his lyrics, he is a beautiful lyricist and songs like Suzanne are just incomparable to anything else.

Bob Dylan was also a writer of timeless classics, but they were of a different sort, he songs are primarily concerned with the changing times (heh heh i know, duh!) he is interested in exploring ideals and meanings, he is fiercely political, - this is why he was so taken up by protest movements.

So i think it's a hard question, i'll go with Bob because his classics will always inspire people. Even though I am always going to appreciate leonard cohens explorations of grief, beauty, isolation and wonderment.

Bob Dylan because he is cool

ive never heard of cohen so that leaves BD

Bob because he just is ( I don't even know any of them) >.<

Leonard Cohan, his voice is so deep its almost hypnotising

bob dylan - she makes love just like a woman, but she cries, like a little girl. Genious.

I hope you are having a good morning :) isn't it a beautiful day - so warm.

Well I can't go past Hallelujah for a great song but well Dylan's Dylan isn't he?

bob dylan
never heard of leonard cohen

i'm not too sure what a pleasantry is but i like them!

Bob Dylan always had his finger on the pulse of America. especially during the 60's and 70's. His words always provoked thought and discussion everywhere. He was never afraid to expand his talents into new areas such as when he went electric. He took some grief from the "die hards" but he pushed on and never looked back. His is indeed one of America's greatest song writer and performer.

Bob Dylan
More varied and far more prolific.
Traveling Wilburys etc.
Much more poetic and timeless...roots in the Woody Guthrie era etc.
