Is it really a sin? Are you really Catholic? If you are religious, it is considered a sin, but whether or not a sin depends on what religion you are and how much you are devoted to it.

Yes it is a sin! If you look in the book of Romans in the Bible Paul says that homosexuality is an abomination to God! If you renounce this sin and give your your heart to the Lord Jesus Christ you will be saved! It is definitely not the only sin but it is a sin!

well heres what i learned in school: to the catholic church it's not a sin if you're gay but it is if you like act on it. i'm catholic and i don't think it's a sin.
the Greeks and Romans had lovers of the same sex and to a certain extent it was normal and tolerated. that being gay is seen as a sin is part of the Christian value system that is part of our western society. looking back at the history of mankind would say that 'gays' have always been a part of society...

But, people for some reason think they're being loyal to God by despising gays, and by disallowing them the privilege of marriage.
Since when did Jesus spread a message of hate? Doesn't this contradict the basic Christian mindset? His overall message was to love and accept others the way they were, not to judge.
I'm agnostic, but, I still believe that hope is out there. Perhaps someday, people will overcome their pathetic prejudices and learn not to be afraid just because someone is different than them.

I'm not gay and I don't care. Sins were invented by man and written into the bible [again by men] thousands of years ago as guidelines to what they thought was a "pure spiritual life". If I support that, I would be sending nice gay and bi people [and friends] to hell, and since I'm not God, I'm not in a position to do that. So no. I don't think it's a sin.
I believe the religious fundamentalists in this country are just as good as the fudgking terrorists out there. They are to gays and lesbians, as Islamic extremists are to Americans in general, in the sense that they want to eliminate everything they don't understand.

To be frank with you friend, you need to read the scriptures. Read what the Apostle Paul said about this in Romans 1 (I believe). Homosexuality is not JUST A SIN but it is (in the sight of GOD) an ABOMINABLE sin. Why? Because it is wholly counter to the God inspired and God institutionalized construct of human sexuality, family, and marriage! God created MAN and WOMAN.... Adam and Eve... not ADAM and STEVE and what not. The homosexual agenda in America is hurting us. It is just sin and an abominable one because it ruins God's design. The sin is forgivable and healable, but only through Jesus Christ. God does most certainly hate the sin, but not the sinner. Jesus would reach out to gays and tell them the truth... in love. I would not want to be in a church that has a gay pastor... no way friend. I want a pastor who's rightly related to God, and being that way automatically puts you wrongly related to Him. Scripture warns those who are effeminate. There is help, healing, and deliverence in Jesus Christ. No other way.

If you believe in that nonsense then technically yes. In reality, no. There's no such thing as god. However, it is clearly unnatural. I don't really give a damn so long as I don't have to see it.
