as long as I have my job... good pay.. Automatic raises... a union that gets me more than I deserve... ... summers off... no performance evaluations... and can’t be fired.... I wouldnt care much at all...

i would try and help him

Seek a counselor...talk with his parents.

Talk with him.

The source is usually at home.

I know when I dropped out it was becuase I had people telling me I couldnt make it,and they literally laughed in my face.

It could also have to do with kids in that school bullying him.

Don't give up on him.

they r in depression and need to be on medication (not in a mean way) because then he will start to realize that he is wrong

i wouldn't give up on him

As a teacher, I would feel I should help by trying to find out what he needs. Sometimes one teacher can change your life.

Becareful when seeking the parents out becasue they could be the source of the problem. Try to speak to the child. Or see if you can find out side help for him that he can go to himself.

I'm very sorry to say this but it is probably too late to change a person like that, they must find themselves and their direction, support the good choices they do make and when they are ready they will straighten out

i would talk to him. i wouldn't care about anything but his future and success. i'll make him feel that the world has a lot of good things for him.

as a teacher it would be my responsibility to do what i could or can to help that child realize that he is worth more than what he thinks and to try to make him realize that he can achieve what ever he puts his mind to.

I'd play baseball with him, me and some friends who are mature enough to understand his situation. Make him cheer up, and if I were a teacher, I'd make him get interested in whatever subject I was teaching.... that way, he'd be the smartest guy there.

In simple words: counseling w/ me or a professional I guess...

Find people with inspiring stories from a book, film, etc. Tell of your own personal low to high story. Try a reward system for completing a task ex. if you read this book...here's a movie ticket. If he seems completely unreachable I would call a professional to help. Teachers are awesome keep up the good work.

It sounds like he's got some issues at home. Get him the help he needs. You can't save the world, but you can save one child's world. One child at a time.

I would be concerned. Obviously, he would have a root cause for all this. Although one can only do their best, sometimes the situation calls for a combined effort by all especially the guardians of the child to get down to the source of the problem. The most important person would be the school counselor as she/he would be the connection between them all. Everyone should work for the best interests of the student. The student should be given a lot of encouragement.

I am not a teacher but a teacher of 4 children....and have a strong feeling of love for children...I feel I will be very much affected and will feel to imagine how will be his/her future....I will definitely be worried...

In the first knowledge of the child's problem...I will be working to get in touch to the child's parents...or guardian...to know the child's historical and family background for I believe it reflects earlier environment and exposure...., get in touch with the school guidance or psychiatric resource... to seek help to save the child and make a follow up of all possible time available to monitor any effective results or failures the approach may have occurring...and closely do continuing dialogue with the child in a friendly manner to let flow freely like a free water that may help to give feedback to professional help the child is apparently receiving with close coordination and support to the child's parents, unless the parents are the source of depressions the child is suffering thus I will take the help of the proper authority tru the efforts of the school guidance resources...

All etra time available I shall save for the child's probable resolve to normalize....and trust herself....or himself....and most of all ...ask the Almighty help tru prayers to give chance the child to normalize and starts to pursue dream of fighting life....
