I wouldnt run. I'd turn around and growl at it and snarl and bark. I would scare them. I am a mean looking dog too and I have a scary bark.

I think that in the Sahara, it would be known as a HOT-DOG, and it would most definitely not be bothered to run. It would just lie down panting. I wouldn't run either!
