How would able to raise one million in a week, month?!
Question: I saw this in a book about a man's wife being kidnapped and he was forced to raise around one million dollars or so to free her in one week.

He probably was choosen for a reason that he could come up with that kind of money. He was either rich or had it in his capability to get alot of funds, he may have worked for a bank or a company that deals with expenisive product. That or he was able to get the FBI or Police department help him get the money for the exchange so they could bust the guy. I'm not exactly sure because I haven't read the book.
