Depends if your lover is someone you would want as a friend.
It is hard to just say "agree or disagree", because the question is true and false and has so many other factors to consider. Even if you try an answer in just a general way.. the question is still "true and false" so.. I will agree and disagree and I have already stated why.

I disagree; I think you have it backwards.
Moving friendship to the "lover" phase changes the dynamics of the relationship; but working hard to maintain a great and "friendly" relationship with your lover is possible and very rewarding.
Your question reminds me of the movie When Harry Met Sally and they are in the airport talking about this topic. Check it out if you haven't seen it.
agree..because when they break up with their lover they will feel uncomfortable to stay together and chit chat like a friend because they have their own history.and then when both of them found other lovers and build a new relationship they must take care of others feeling..
They are mutually inclusive as in either case,the basic premise is common ie trust and faith.
Sometimes. But it's no mystery why. Lovers can often crush any friendship when they replace it with romantic 'love', which more often than not has an element of jealousy built into it.
