Being drunk. You begin to lose your functional abilities. So your vision and hearing go, you talk loud and slur your words. You stagger and sweat. You lose your train of thought and will ramble on and on. YOu will lose your ability to keep secrets and will blurt out things you shouldn't. You will either find things funny or become very depressed. You lose your inhibitions and that can lead to serious trouble. Basically, you lose alot. And the hangover is even worse. Headaches, barfing. Teetotal away. It aint so bad not drinking.

Like a whole new world. Lmao, unless you over do it. Then it sucks.

But it's wierd. Can't really explain. You just got to try it.

It's a horrible feeling. Pain all over. You're not missing a thing!

No, you are not missing a thing.

Im 39 yrs old and havent been drunk in over 10 yrs because all it brought me was trouble and despair

yu're missing out on feeling like $hit and waking up with a headache

no! only a big headache next morning and feeling horrible

Its nothing special.....I have several years maybe 8 that haven't been drunk...but if you miss that...why don't you try....

in a word horrible - being merry is nice though

Nope, you are not missing anything. There are many things that we don't need to experience to find out that it is no good, eg drugs!

Don't worry, you have missed nothing!

I've never been drunk either.

No need to be drunk to be 39.....what you face in life is what makes you not trying to be drunk!

You are not the only person that have not been drunk....there are many others and its includes me...!

I can only say congratulation for staying sober for 39years... Yeaaaaaah!

The question isn't what are you missing.
The question is what have you gained?

I grew up in an alcoholic family. I think I came close to it one time on my 20th birthday and I didn't like it. I didn't like the way I was not in control of my senses, I like to be fully present. I would say we are missing nothing. It drives me crazy when people act like acohol is some great big deal. People at a party sometime will behave like drinking is so important.

I have been a lot of times and I suffered a lot from hangover. But you know what I never regreted it. They were part of my growing up experiences.

It is good that you chose to be tee-totaller. Being drunk is really bad. It makes man a monkey. Having seen alcoholics you still want to know what it is to be drunk. As long as the drink is in the bottle....the one who speaks is Man. Once it is inside the man, it is the drink that talks and not the man....simple.

Getting drunk once in a while is not a bad thing. Nor is it necessarily a good thing. But it can be a long way from being an alcoholic.
Some people are delightful when they are drunk and others are a nightmare-it just depends on how your metabalism is wired up and how it deals with alcohol.
Being on the cusp of being drunk can be quite pleasant.

sure. you miss the chance to get liver disease. intestine cancer. heart disease. one night stand. i really appreciate you! you're a rare humankind! but wine are tasty, though XD

Try it. It can be a hoot or it can be horrible. You have to experience it to describe it. Buy yourself a bottle of white wine one night and have a couple of glasses. It is possible to drink sensibly without getting addicted and weird about it.

Um, well, you're missing something in that you have not had an experience that a lot of other people have had... but I guess that's true of a lot of things. The best thing I can compare it to is getting laughing gas at the dentist... you know you're in an altered state but you don't care, and you feel close to people, and your problems don't matter as much. And it's funny. It changes, like, you can be drunk one time and be very serious, while you can be drunk another time and be very silly.

Sometimes...free as an eagle
Sometimes...chained in a cage
At once released and confined
Opened as far as you can get and slammed shut!
I can sing like an angel
but it sounds like the devil.

Used to do a lot of drugs when I was younger.
Felt euphoric for ten or twelve hours,
then..........
Have you ever contemplated what it would feel like, if you would feel anything, to run into a concrete pier at 90 mph in slow motion?

Stay clean, Bro!

No,you are not missing out on much.

It feels really good for partying coz when you lose your inhibitions, simple/silly things make you feel good. But I've never done it to drown my sorrows - it doesn't make me happy. I was lucky enough to have met someone who made me feel that you can solve any problem. So solving it would make me happy, and not alcohol.
