If a cashier/bagger, licks his fingers to open a bag...?!
Question: ...what do you do? Do you say, "I'll bag it myself" or "please don't do that", or nothing? This is one reason I go through self-checkout. I think that's the grossest thing you can do, especially when you work at a GROCERY store. I hate doing that, myself. I don't want someone else's spit on my bag.

Worse, is when the cashier licks their finger to count MONEY. YECH.
I owned a coffeehouse, and fired an employee because she got whipped cream on her finger when preparing a drink, and stuck that finger in her MOUTH....in front of the customer.
I don't even think the customer saw it, but I did. Double yech.

Ew, I hate when people are passing out sheets and they lick their fingers to pass them out.

It is disgusting, but sometimes, it may be the only way that the checker can open the bag. The sticky little bugger! However, maybe a little hand lotion would fix that. It is not very professional to be licking your fingers before customers! I would think that sort of behavior is frowned upon by management.
I just wash my hands when I come home from shopping. For me the most annoying thing is when cashiers chat you up, or they yack away with each other. Make no mistake, I'm a nice polite person, I just get hot quickly and have low threshold of tolerance.
