Do you get more or less work done when your boss is out for the day?!
Question: My coworker talks on the phone and disappears for hours at a time when my boss is here and is superproductive when she's gone, but i'm a complete slacker when she's not here and bust my as-s when she's here.

I'm interested in this Q. and what people have to say. I'm an owner/boss.
I like my staff to be productive whether I'm present or not. Those that loaf while I'm away are only shooting themselves in the foot. I'm not dumb.
BTW, I'm a fair and highly reasonable boss. Maybe, too fair and reasonable.

It's a toss up. I probably do spend a bit more time doing other things but if he's NOT here, there are far fewer silly tasks to keep me from doing the actual task I was hired to do.

It depends..I don't think I do any more or less when my boss is around. I'm more comfortable when my boss is out for the day but I am equally productive whether she is here or not.
do they pay you enough?....if not slack away baby!!!
