Question: ...they lied about what they looked like, or put an avatar up that made you have an IDEA of what they looked like, and then they look NOTHING like their avatar?
Me, I'd be really upset not because of how someone looked (I'm married, I don't really give two figs), but because I was lied to, and that they felt they had to go out of their way to lie!

Nah...I try to make myself believe that people do not look at all like their avatars. I'd rather be pleasantly surprised than gravely disappointed.

yes, I would be beyond pis*sed that they lied to me, but I do not generally meet someone from just seeing their avatar pic, (and talking, etc) I have to feel I trust them thoroughly. Haven't gone wrong yet!

Yes I would. But I would get over it. Because they only place I would want to meet a contact would be in Vegas and that why If they did lie I can just find other things to do.

Yeah i think we'd all be pretty upset to a certain degree. You know if you got a profile pic up and you look like Janet Jackson then meet in person and you look more like Freddy Jackson (Friday) yeah that be pretty f'ed up
