I had the huge, garganuan big round owl plastic frames and coke bottle lenses...usually in a brown or tortoiseshell color!
I started wearing them in second grade. I loved the idea until I got to school when the kids then made fun of me! I started wearing contacts at 14 and still do.

I like the cat looking glasses. My gma has some old ones that look like that! They look so pretty. I look at her in old pics and she has those same glasses and it is just neat to see that she still owns them. The ones I wear now look just like my avatar only they are the tortise brown color...
Actually those glasses will be coming back into style soon--my next pair will be cat's eye glasses! :-)

I got 'em when I was a teen. I hated them and eventually got contacts. Glasses just seem to get in the way all the time :P

I just started wearing reading glasses part of the time. most of the time I can see just fine. It is still hard for me to except the fact that I can't see sometimes and I am in my 40's.
I started wearing glasses at 12. I only wear them now because my contacts bother my eyes.
i just got glasses 3 yrs ago they looked ok exept that 1 lence was begger the other so my eyes looked miss shapes *lol*

Yes, styles have dramatically changed and I guess in another 40 years, our children will be laughing it up at our glasses that we are wearing right now!!
I wear glasses because my optomitrist (quack, quack) said I could no longer wear contacts. I hate them.

I've been wearing glasses for 40 years. I went to school with a girl who wore the cat-eye glasses with rhinestones on the frames. Cool!
Yeah, I got my first pair when I was in fourth grade, about 10 or so. I hated them, I still do. I don't think I could stand contacts.

Just a little before my time but I always thought those women looked so sophisticated.....with them mini skirts and go go boots. I loved it! A few years back they kinda came back and I tried to get some, but didn't fit my face too good. I only started wearing glasses like 5 years ago.

I had 20/20 vision up until a few years ago. I wanted glasses badly when I was a kid, and now that I have to wear them, I hate them. I only wear them at home.

I also got my glasses, @ age 7, however, my experiences of them, have been, mostly tedious. Like losing mine, breaking a leg, having one leg Dalmation-like, the other leg, dark brown. Etc. Even now, I sport a pair of this sort @ home.
I only started wearing glasses 25 years ago, but I have worn some crazy frames. The ones I wear now are perfect, but some people don't like them. I say that person is nuts! I love my glasses. :D
I have wire frame glasses. I need a new pair because the lense fell out of this one and I Crazy Glued it back in. Probably gonna get contacts. I like my eyes and want to be able to see them when I look in the mirror..
I got laser eyeball surgery in 1998 and haven't looked back.
Took the vision test at the motor vehicles and blew threw it.
I'm 43. So I was quite happy about that.
