It depends on what inspires you. Classical opera can be motivating but if you don't like it, could be nauseating. The background sounds of those sound machines...bubbling brooks, crashing waves is good. I would stay away from anything too disturbing...plays on your psyche after a while, and besides, if you are speaking with people,they will hear the background.
