Have you ever had a life changing experience?!

Question: If so, what was it?

Answers: If so, what was it?

Yes...I started using drugs and alcohol like ten years ago...I′m bulimic as well..I was depressed, suicidal, hopeless,so so sad...It all stopped almost 9 months ago when I found out that I was pregnant...it was an accident but it was an accident that changed my life completely...I like to call it a miracle, ′cause what rehab clinics, meetings, doctors, etc weren′t able to do, u know, help me to stay away from all those things, this little baby did it in just a second. The minute I found out I was pregnant I started eating healthy, no more alcohol or drugs, it was like if life gave me a second chance...to live a normal life, be responsible, take care of myself, love somebody else so so much...I′m a single mom and proud of it, the baby is fine, Thank God, and I′m just waiting for her to be born...I just can′t wait!!!

no

Yes!
I discovered ..................beer.

having almost died that changed me.

no....

I got married, life changed for the better, and now I am never alone, I always have my wife to talk to and cuddle with.

Yes i lost my Mom

well after i had my daughter i got depressed and started hanging out with the wrong crowd. I started doing drugs, but never around my daughter. So then my parents kicked me out and her dad tried to get custody, but he only got temporary. When i realized i could loose my daughter over something so stupid, i decided to clean up! I've been clean for almost 4 years now!

I have had many, but the most life changing experience for me....Losing my son to SIDS was the worst...Having to bury your child before you, that is the worst thing I have experienced so far.
Good question!~:0)

I did after my house fire.....I was on my anniversary in a cabin when we got the "call". It was the longest drive home. Fortunately, nobody was hurt.....my children were with my parents while we were gone.....it was an electrical fire that the firemen said if we were home we would have probably died in our sleep...................I couldn't beleive this! We hardly ever stay away from home and the first time in a long time, no one was home......except the fire! I pray to God every night that the fire happened while we were gone.....and I take time now to enjoy life, family, and friends a bit more! Yes....this changed my life!

I have two kids. If that doesn't change your life, nothing will. Also, employment...or unemployment...which I have experienced both of, will change you as well. having a death in the family, such as the loss of my father, also will change your life. So you might say I've had a few.

Going through a depression about 10 years ago really helped me to see what life is truly about! Living a life for my Lord Jesus Christ!

i refuse to change for any reason, i'm already perfect

yeah. broke a nail. i mean, like, phew. puts it all into perspective, y'know?

yes sis died 1yr ago tomorrow made me take inventory and make alot of changes in my life

Yes
my son was killed by a drunk driver. At the time I was working 70-80 hours a week and thought work was everything. Money was important to me until that night.
Now realize that there is nothing more important than family and spending time with them enjoying life instead of just surviving from one pay check to the next.

In August I was hit by a car on my bike, nothing hugely serious happened, but the B I knocked out my front teeth and I didn't have any skin on my chin for a month. Of course to add insult to injury I was the matron of honor in my BFF's wedding shortly after, and now every time I am over there I have to look at my bashed up face in that beautiful dress!!
Point is I can no longer ride my bike without having a panic attack it is kind of like in blue crush, when every time she goes out to surf she see's her head splitting on the coral... I don't know if it will ever be the same on my bike again...

Yes. All through my teen years I was a terrible kid. I got into trouble with the law, I started doing drugs, ranaway from home, stole cars... you name it .. I did it. When I was 17 I started travelling the US. I went to all the states by the time I was 20 with a man that I married (my first husband) Things didn't work out wth him and I thought I was doing okay but then I REALLY hit rock bottom. It took someone else, to honestly love me for me to help me get back up. I remarried and ever since, I have been back in school (Senior year, will have a Bachelor's in IT in Dec '08) starting my own company and I now live in the tropics.

Sometimes all it takes is someone to be there for you.. really be there. That's enough to make a difference.
