Reggae music was born in Jamaica, but too much of it, can get monotonous, I think.

I like a mixture,,,some soca, calypso, and steel band....Oh yes that STEEL BAND music.

in 1973 a Jamaican film, The Harder They Come, starring Jimmy Cliff, launches the popularity of reggae music in the United States.... loved it then and even more today !
