My humblest apologies for not clicking on your link. But to answer your primary question, you know, they all pretty much suck compared to what Hollywood studios can do now. The original War of the Worlds was pretty good, although the current verision kicks butt. Casablanca of course comes to mind. And a little sci-fi sleeper called "Kronos."
