What helps me to memorizing facts is writing down all the information I need to know over and over...or, put the facts on notecards and study those. My teacher told me do this during finals, and I'll know the stuff:
1) write the stuff you need to know on paper
2) type it up on the computer
3) print it, hightlight the important stuff
4) type it up again
5) put it on notecards
And it worked, I got an A.
Also, for studying and doing homework, get a timer and set it for 30 minutes and try to work the whole time. Take a break, and then do it again, until your homework is done. If you do this everyday it starts to become a habit.

No, always ahead of studies......!!!
make flash cards, then put em on a big ring thing so you can flip through them easy... then take them everywhere with you. hold them like your cell phone, instead of checking the time, check the cards! lol.... sounds cheezy but youd be surprised how much repetition makes you know it without thinking.
also, this is a bummer, turn off the music. quietness makes you totally focused... i used to think otherwise, until i didnt have a radio for a while and wow! the difference it made.

The only tip I have for studying is writing it down. The only thing that really helps me study and learn for bio tests (the only ones I need to study for) is reading and pretending I'm making a cheat sheet. I write down all the key facts and diagrams and it sticks in my head better, it helps a lot. Even though it's a waste of paper, it's worth it 'cause it keeps my grades better than they would be normally...
