Toothache works everytime! Sure is hard to get to that dentist during snowstorms, so you might not make it in. Everyone knows a toothache would ruin anyone's day, and it's not as bad the the whole "death" excuse.
Just tell them you're sick, you have a right to X number of sick days, they can't investigate... unless have me days regularly haha
I'd say go to work unless the storm is such that you cannot make it in! If you feel like staying home in order to drink I think you have a fairly serious problem!
Say you have the flu, its very common in winter. Or say the doc says you are very contagious at the moment.
One thing I've always found that works is to go into great detail about being up all night with really bad stomach cramps and large numbers of trips to the bathroom. I found people dont want to hear all of that and they stop you at the first mention of the "d" word. And I work in a hospital.
well being a girl you have it a little bit easier.
just call your boss and tell him you are on your period and you feel really sick. you can also use urinary tract infection. both are untraceable and you can usually get away with them because its not uncommon.
Yup..I did the same yesterday. I called in sick and said I got diarhea and went to see a doctor but after a 2 hours queue, I ran home to go toilet. When I am about to leave for the doctor again, it was raining heavily till the night. Thus I did not visit a doctor.

Tell them ytoure fighting something ugly and that you do not want to expose your co-workers to it. You would be the most considerate person around - considering most come to work sick anyways and get us all sick.
