(This question inspired by the link below). Would you date someone who hated squ!
Question: Let's say you love squash, all types, except that nasty spaghetti squash thats all stringy, it isn't that great.
Now you meet someone who is perfect in every other way but they hate all types of squash. Do you shun the squash hater like a bad Amish teenager or consider them as spouse material?

My girlfriend likes squash. I hate it. So far, it has caused no lasting problems in the relationship, apart from disagreements as to whether or not I should like squash.
What if the only squash I like is squashing people's heads. cuz I can deal with someone who doesn't like that. I'm a Ninja!!!!

squash... is just a food.
you can eat it, and they can have something else.

I saw the linked question, and answered it too. That guy is either being sarcastic on purpose to insult(?) or has a serious attitude problem. Doesn't matter too much, it is his life and his future train wreck.
If it was just squash or a type of food, I guess we could get past the issue as a couple as long they did not object to me eating what I wanted. If they objected to it, then I would not go out with them, and see this as a control issue.
I do not date women who do not like dogs, are smokers and do not believe in Jesus Christ as the Savior. We all have our crosses to bear. <pun intended> Just don't crucify me for mine.
Anyone who considered a hatred of squash a valid reason
for not marrying somebody, is obviously too immature to venture into marriage, either now or in the future.
It could be slightly, but only very slightly interesting, to examine
the foibles of this somewhat critical person.
