Do you cry at the dreadful shootings that happen so frequently, or do you get re!

Question: both for me. i guess we'll never really understand what makes these shooters snap.

Answers: both for me. i guess we'll never really understand what makes these shooters snap.

I was outside the cafeteria and heard the gunshots at Thurston High School back in '98 (my soph year). Two students were murdered and 21 others were shot. I think will ALWAYS have a different point point of view on this subject. A random act of violence? YES. Can this happen to you? YES. Can it be prevented? NO.

It makes me really angry.

it makes me really angry

I do both... people are just SICK..... I dont know what people thinks when they kill someone

Just mad,,,,and mad at the justice system,,,

Both, and sometimes a little scared. I mean this could happen anywhere to anyone.

I get angry, and trust me you won't like me when I'm angry

i get really angry i dont cry b/c i havent known any of the people who have lost their life but i am sad and angry all at the same time

It makes think; how in the supposed 'greatest nation in the world', so much misery, anguish and downright mayhem can still be a sprawling nightmare upon everyday, hardworking citizens, somehow our government could care less when it comes to this kind of tragedy, how in a way they too are to be held responsible. Beyond gun control and people in general; how can a society get to this most disastrous of points?, where have we failed? that is what I think when I see innocent people lose their lives so tragically

I cry for the victims, then get angry toward the people who saw it coming. (like the authorities who were warned, yet did nothing)

its kind normal when u live in the hood so it doesnt affect me nemore

I feel very sad, but not to the point of crying. Mostly for the victims and their families, but also for the shooters, i know it sounds bad that i feel sorry for them but it's awful that someone would be so twisted up that they feel that they have to go out and kill a bunch of people...there should be some kind of mental health watch thing for people who are at risk of doing this stuff. I do feel angry as well at the laws that allow people to just walk into a shop and buy a gun which they then use to end 10, 20 lives. But then again if there weren't guns the shooters would just find another way to kill other people.

i don't really do anything I'm sad for a little while but things happen and people die and its unfortunate to say the lease
but you and i can do anything about it

Both. Makes me very angry and very sad at the same time. I also took my kids out of public school a year ago, for this very reason, along with perverted teachers making the news.

neither. i just dont get emotional about people i guess

It makes my stomache upset, I don't like to think about it.

Sadly I've just gotten used to it. People shoot people and that's dumb...

I get angry and frustrated, but I still can't help but cry. I don't even watch the news anymore because of how much it hurts me to see what's going on. I know it doesn't help anything to ignore the news. It's like burying one's head in the sand, but I just can't watch the carnage any longer.

I kinda get freaked / scared. I go to the U and a city nearby's U went through something similar. It felt weird. Could have been my own school
I also get angry cause people always try to put the blame on "Marilyn Manson" or violent movies or stuff like that, that many people like without going nuts

neither just sad it sucks

i do both, it's just so sad that people snap like that and they take the lives of innocent people, it gets me angry, because it seems like it's happening a lot now a days, and it's not fair to those people's families.

I don't cry. And I don't get angry. Your question doesn't leave room for other emotions. I just find them incredibly sad.

I just don't understand what makes anyone want to do something like that... what causes all the anger? It makes me so sad!

Both - Crying because the wounded and their families and then for the families of those who caused the pain -

Honestly, I do both.

To be honest I feel revolt at the gun laws in your country. Other countires don't have your gun culture or school shootings. So direct your anger towards the gun runners in your country.

a

Being a parent, I get upset that some day it would happen to them. Being married, I fear that it would happen to my wife. Me, I hope it never happens. The thing is that they have to stop news progams that EXPLAIN everything that went on.

neither for me, i just get fed up with it. People who snap and shoot others just because they are angry are exposing their mental weakness. They can't handle reality. If they're sick of everything and everyone, they can just end their own lives, nobody needs the miserable ones around.

Every time i see another shooting i just say, "are you serious? come on dude, why? don't take the lives of others. These are innocent people." It just gets annoying, Columbine was shocking, after that, it just seems like everyone is trying to one up Columbine and every one after it.

I dont cry or get mad. These shooters are absolutely pathetic!

i don't cry but it just makes me sick when i hear it on the news i really wonder what might be going threw their heads when they are doing it they must really hate the world

People have been killing others since the beginning of time. you just hear about it more now that the media, whores that they are, sensationalize it because it draws viewers, and thus brings in money.
why do people snap? easy, disrespect. there's only so much anyone can take.
