Punishment at Schools---Olden Days!!!?!
Question: When I was in High School...67-70...In Study hall, once I was talking, I know that you find it hard to believe that "I" would do that. hahahaha...I talk alot!!! And the tacher made us go tot he front by his desk and he hit us with a plastic bat!!! Then we had to stand with our nose int he pencil sharpener!!! Today that would be reason to get him fired!!! Loved that Teacher too!!! How about you?

Of course a teacher who did that today would be fired instantly. A kid had to be whacked every once in a while. I grew up being whupped with switches, but no belts or any abusive acts at all, and I turned out okay I think.
I was once beaten by a large "***** be good stick" made out of lightweight alumnium fashoned with holes for decreased wind resistence for having sex on the teachers desk during recess in the fifth grade,... I don't know how I planned on doing that without getting caught but well worth it.

In elementary school I was taught by nuns who would walk around with rulers and smack your hands if you were slouching or just annoying them because you existed.
And that was after the whole "ruler" thing had stopped in most places.....I guess my nun teachers were behind the times.
I am very traditional, even though I'm not Catholic, I went to Catholic school. I know what it is like to have your ears pulled, beaten with rulers, wooden dowels, and paddles made out of boat oars. I refuse to spank my son. Time out without toys or television works just fine.
