If you've been reported and had either your question or answer deleted?!

Question: Were you reported for a valid reason? Were you rude and insulting or do you think it was just that someone didn't like what you had to say?
I'll admit I've been reported for calling someone a wanker, which pretty much is an insult but some of the things I've been reported for, I'm still scratching my head about.

to easy to report, just hit the button and its done.

yahoo like ebay are relying on its users to police themselves

you or i could report CHESSY up there and say
..........not a question or an answer

ive had two violations and they were saying LOL! and huh?

no i just wrote no for a answer.

I was reported because someone didn't like my answer

you can get reported by the push of a button, no reason

yeah...i asked a bunch of dirty questions and give a bunch of dirty answers on my first account

I've been reported for... "Not an Answer to the Question." But answers that are not answers spark up new answers waiting to make answers... ANSWER!

I have been reported for stupid thiongs like saying who is that or what is that?

I get reported for ''chatting'' and once, only once I called someone an idiot.

No; it's all fun and games to me

I've deserved about 2% of the violations I've recieved.

no i got reported for saying your question is spam

and plus me being an atheist in the religion section thats just an open invitation for fundies to report you

just dont talk bad about islam youll get violated so fast your head will spin

ive lost three accounts this week for no reason and had three violations for no reason was not rude

I asked a "question" to fill in the blanks with the correct version of there/their/they're. And I was trying to prove a point / educate more than anything else. But considering some of the things that get by, I think someone was bit ticked off at the time.

I don't think i was reported for a valid reason at all.Its Just that some people are haters.

Happens to me all the time, I just blow it off.
One time I got a violation for answering a question with "Yawn"
Last week I got a violation for asking people to send Christmas cards to our troops.

I am such a hellraiser, ya know.

In the beginning I thought it was because they didn't like my humor/sarcasm in my answers. I think some of the questioners are afraid to see anyone else's opinion that doesn't agree with theirs.

They removed my question simply because i'm asking whether my avatar look pissed and should i change it? I'll be grateful if someone could tell me which rule had i violated?

YEAH. THIS GREATEST WRONG WAS ONCE DONE TO ME. I WROTE MY ANSWER NO LIKE 50 TO 100 TIMES AND THEY CONSIDERED THAT A VIOLATION!

yes i have, for answering a question in the negative. ("i don't know"). i thought it was funny at the time, but someone didn't.

Ive got lots of violations and Ive appealed some but never been re-considered,as none of mine are rude, but on occasions it was for chatting, not that i considered it that but who knows with trolls!just appeal if you want, good luck..cheers :)

Someone didn't have a sense fo humor. :)

ALWAYS protest your violations!!! Just hit the Reply and write down how Answers is putting the screw to us!! We may have to go run to R&S and take over there. Tip of the Day: Yahoo has it's own Trolls among us.

I was answering a question I thought was a nasty one and when I hit the confirm button a note came up saying the question was deleted. I thought I had come up with a great smart sneering answer to, laugh. Shocked me at that time. Kind of made me think I had done something wrong. It is fun coming up with ways of using other words for banned words.

yeah I was reported for answering with an "edit"
I was gonna edit my answer!! it was like.. an avatar game or something.
the bastards!

by the way, when is someone gonna post an avatar game again? I love them.

No. NONE of my violation were valid, but Yahoo!, in their wisdom, readily accepted a report , NEVER once gave me a valid reply to my protest.

You can always protest your report reason.

As a Class 7 person, I do check the questions I answer for proper responses, and will flag one. The main culprits are:
"The Simpson Yawn": comments such as "idn" or "no can do" and stuff like that. If you don't want to give a real answer, don't clog up the space with crap.
"When have you stopped beating your wife?" questions. People in the religious section love this one, especially atheists who are out to bait Christians or vice versa, and people who favor evolution and those who don't? Young people have to learn to disagree without being disagreeable (sic?).

If you are scratching your head about some violation/repoting then you have no sense of your presence on this forum.

The rules of this forum are easy. Respect those who respect you. this does not mean that you can not get TO'd over a comment or a premise, but when you do, FIND a means of expressing your feelings in a manner that gets the point across while at the same time does NOT resort to name calling.

Once you call somebody a rude name, you have stepped over the line and demonstrated that you can no longer be depended on to make rational statements or express opinions. This is not a romper room for you and some of your friends to see who can trash who each other best every night, but rather a forum for the intelligent exchange of ideas.

When you stoop to the level of the lowest common denominator, you ARE the lowest common denominator.

And YES, I have reported a few posters on this site but ONLY for the use of obscene laungage. No place for that ANYWHERE!
