the best way not to open it is to put it at the back of the x-mas tree and cover it with other presents so you cant see it till christmas in the end you'l forget its even there then when you hand the presents around you find it.......

at least thats what i do

No, it certainly wouldn't be wrong.

When my cousin was 8 he explained to me his plan to hold up Santa at bow and arrow point on the roof and take all the presents he had on him--he was a greedy little mercenary.

Your plan would probably bother Santa less.
