Do you talk/text on your cell phone while driving?!
Question: I no longer own a cellphone since I have gotten vonage and I never used my cellphone while driving. How many of you do it and why? I've almost gotten hit several times because someone was distracted by their cell phone!

So embarassing, but yes I do. What's even more sad is I would probably be the first person to point a finger of blame if someone nearly hit me because they were on their phone. There has been many-a-time I have caught myself yelling at someone to "get off the phone" when I so often do it myself.
The law has changed here in California now. Now we get a ticket if caught!
It's a very bad habit but yes I do!! I'm getting a new pphone next week so I can use my blue tooth in stead of holding the phone! I'm sorry you have almost been hit but so have I. I always put my driving 1st and my conversation 2nd!!<3
I did until they made it a new law that if you are caught texting by the cops youll get a 500 doller fine

in my customer service line of work i talk to cops frequently. one said he doesnt pull people over if they arent using a phone, if they are he is way more likely to. also i do it all the time **** is so dangerous
No, i don't usually unless Its absolutely necessary, because I drive a 5 speed and you can't drive and shift and talk and pay attention to the road all at the same time

Yup i do talk/text on my cell phone while driving & the reason behind it is that i can do multi-tasking w/o committing any mistakes whatsoever. I've never hit somebody & neither was i ever hit my some one in my 8 year driving.
I don't. It can be very dangerous for yourself and everyone around you. I rather miss a few calls than put myself and everyone else in danger.
