No but we do work until Noon on Christmas Eve even though there are no patients scheduled so far.

Yes, I am a nurse, I have to work 12 hours, my firefighter husband has to work all 24 hours. Someone has to watch our 2 kids.
The store where I work is closed on Christmas, the only day of the year they are closed. I have to be at work at 4:00 AM on the 26th, though.

Yep, but I get Christmas eve off. Which it does not help any really because I have two small kids, but when you work for a distribution company and work nights your holidays are always spent working. That's ok at least I will be with them all day until 7:30 pm. Good Luck to all of you that work that day. Usually if you call in sick you don't get paid for the holiday because you have to work the day b4 and the day after.

I use to at a small family owned hotel for 18 years. Gave the maids a day off and I cleaned the rooms about 6. But their no longer in business and I don't have to work Christmas now.
