My favorites are Cucumber Melon and Vanilla Lavender.
For massages, I prefer oils. They just seep into the skin quicker.
If the massage is for pain relief, I like a lotion with arnica in it.
I prefer the oil that is warm going on but when you blow it, it feels cool.......
I am a massage therapist and through many years of various lotions, creams, and oils, I most certainly find that I and my clients prefer a massage cream, nice and thick, such as biotone massage cream. A mild smell with low potential for allergies is also important. The thicker creams provide for the least friction and best feel. Also a mineral oil is not preferred as these actually rob the skin of minerals. The best oils are the oils that you could actually eat (although you may not want to!), this is best for the skin!
