i was thinking that same thing last week.
it's like.. the typical nerd has glasses.
but un-nerdy people wear glasses all the time?
glasses are for people who can't see.. not for "smartypantses"

Some nerds have glasses, but not all of them do. People of all walks of life wear glasses.

Maybe because their bad eyesite kicks into their brain and makes them smarter. Like blind people have very good hearing becuase they can't see.
my husband is a nerd! He's blind as a bat. All his brain power sucked out any vision he may have had naturally.
because thats what sets them apart from non nerds. nerdy glasses officially means one is a nerd ( i like nerds my self)

maybe because they study to hard their eyes become weak or go on the computer a lot. Theres all different kind of nerds, internet nerds (like my brother), average nerd, etc.
Just cuz they have glasses don't make 'em a nerd hunny!
Maybe there needs to be some kind of study done on the effects of optical lens on social skills, etc. Maybe the glasses turn people into nerds, like some kind of environmental effect......

From reading and studying so much, their eyes went bad.
Because they need them to read and don't care what they look like with them on.
Because of this, people that wear glasses are usually perceived as people of intelligence or apathy towards what is 'in style.'
When other people have eye problems, they usually avoid glasses because of this stereotype. They get contacts, eye surgery, or just don't wear glasses at all.
i think cuz they read too much books. like everyday,they MUST read a book. so becuz of this they need glasses. haha i dunno! but yeah mostly its becuz of tat (: too many readings.

dont know, but I wear glasses because I am blind!! Not really they just help me see!!! Where I work, I stare at what else but a computer screen!! So they just help if I dont have them then I squint and my head hurts at the end of the day
