I'm in Australia and as far as I know we don't have an online register here, but I sure wish we did! I think there's some privacy law against it... HA!
I've browsed the US ones, trying to track someone down. I couldn't believe how many of the people in the pictures were SMILING! It was rather nauseating....
This site can be used for any state in the US, you can search by name or address and it has a profile of each offender. If you type in an address it shows you a large map with dots to represent each offender...click on a dot and it takes you to that offender's profile. It's by far the best one that I found

I urge everyone reading this in the US to type in their street address, town and state to check to see how many are living near you...you'll be in for a shock.

Yes, and I FREAKED OUT because there were literally THOUSANDS of sex offenders in my county, but then I noticed that 98% of them had the same address, and it turned out to be the prison that's in my county! Lol! Had me scared for a minute.
yes at least once a week and its scary to think what is in my neighborhood and some of them i see and reconigze and would love to choke them out,
