Just regular sugar.. There have been times in the past that I was so broke and out of regular sugar that I have had to use.. brown sugar, pancake syrup and even candy to use as a sweetener.
Black, unsweetened. I prefer to savor the complex notes of the dark elixir of life unadulterated. The sacred bean needs no enhancement.
I have never used brown sugar...I use sweet and low and some cream

It depends on the mood I am in. Most times, black is it. Other times, either brandy or amaretto creamer is what it takes.
