Have you ever accidentally stolen something? What did you do?!

Question: I got home from the grocery store today and realized that something had fell into my purse from the rack by the register that has all those things hanging on it. Sure enough, I just turned right back to the store and put it right back on the rack and walked right back out of the store and went and saw my movie - Alvin And The Chipmunks. I was going to tell someone at the store but I just didn't feel like explaining it because it seemed so weird and I didn't know if they would believe me!

well i guess it happened when i was checking out, and my cart hit a rack with candy, and like 3 bars of candy fell into my groceries!

when i got home, i checked my reciept, and see i didnt buy them, and just returned them like you did.

yes , i went back and paid for it

i liked it and i wanted to do it again... lol i am kidding, i would return it too

Usually pens or pencils from a coworkers cubicle but they always get me back by stealing my ideas so were always evened out.

Once I found a notebook from a store in my bag. I had no idea how it got there, and I didn't pay for it. I was like, "sweet!"

back when i had a newborn AND a one yr old in Walmart...I put batteries in the cart, but the diaper bag was blocking them so i didn't put them up to pay for them. when i was putting everything into my van, (I had already strapped in the kids) i went to put the diaper bag in too, and saw the batteries still in the cart. I unstrapped the kids and toted them back into the store with the batteries and handed them to the greeter. I said these were in the cart, and i forgot to pay for them. He thanked me, and I left without buying the batteries.

Yes i was going to write a check to get money back out of my account because i thought i lost my debit card so i was going to buy a vitamin water......well i had opened it waiting inline...i then found my card and the line was songlong and we were in a hurry to get to the club so i said fuc* it and went to the atm...well i then realized iwalked out with the vitamin water half way to my destination. The next day i brought the empty bottle back to the store and told them to rign it up so i could pay for it. loL I FELT SO BAD!

I have "accidentally" forgotten to mention to the cashier at Target that I had cases of pop/paper towels/toilet paper on the bottom of my cart. But it's their fault for not noticing, right?

Yes, my mom and I were getting stuff from walmart and we got handsanitizer(the small bottles) and we forgot they were there, so we went back and paid for them.

I was going to buy this lanyard thingy and I walked around the store for a few minutes and started talking on my phone.....the person I was with paid for their purchase and we went to the next store......the next thing I know I look down and I still have the lanyard in my hand and I know I hadn't paid for it....I felt so embarrassed....

Well that's very honest of you. Personally I consider it payback for times that I pay for something that doesn't get put in my bag, so it all evens out in the end.

Yeah, when I was 6 I accidentally stole gum out the store...I thought my dad paid for it, but he didn't. If I would've known he didn't pay for it, I wouldn't have taken it. I got a big, bad butt-whipping, too.
