Around twelve or thirteen is a good age I think.
Hm. I was about 11, and I only did that for person reasons. I think a girl ought to start carrying one around when she starts to menstruate.

12 b/c i bought an ipod and i didn't want ot stolen, so i started using a purse to keep near at all times
