Most people don't understand that their parents didn't lay down and make that baby. Yes, they may help you but if you can't afford to take care of child you shouldn't be having sex. I feel that people should make a decision that they would be able to live with. If you can live with an abortion on your conscious, do what you have to do. but if you are able to take care of a child or know that you will have help, have the baby.

I was a pregnant teenager and I did get an abortion. I think that was the biggest mistake of my life.
Adoption, with premise being made for both the parents of the child and their parents to help choose suitable parents for the child that will treat that child well. Why not the other options?
1) Abortion and keeping the child are both unfair as the child either does not get proper care and/or dies together (there's a very small chance a teen would have either the time or resources to raise a child well)...plus keeping the child puts an unnecessary hold on the parent's progress in school/with friends...all necessary to become a stable adult.
2) Having the parents (of the new parents) raise the child is blatantly unfair to the parents and ultimately hurts the "new parents" as well as the parents have to split their care up between the two parties and can never do quite as good a job as they would with just their children there to care for.

I would have just kept it. My mother would of helped me to raise the child. I don't believe in abortion, if it was that bad I'd sooner put the child up for adoption.
You can't say until it happens....I was 18 when I got pregnant..I got married and had the baby, but my mother gave me options,,,,abortion, adoption, have it...so I wouldn't feel trapped..I wouldn't have traded my decision for the world even if I did get divorced 15 years later!!!
If I were a teenager today (God forbid) I would hope I had the common sense to pay attention in health class so as not to get pregnant. I would hope I would not have sex at all until married. If it happened, it would all depend on many things such as my state of mind, who the father was and would he be around to help take responsibility, how my parents were.....
I was a pregnant teenager, and I kept my babies. I had twin boys when I was 16 (pregnant at 15), got pregnant again when I was 17 and had another baby at 18 then another at 19 and another at 21. Now I'm pregnant with another set of twins that will be born less than a month after turning 22. I live in a big house with my husband (who fathered all of my children).

i think i would do abortion. and i wouldn't let my parents know about it because its quite embarrassing or anyone at school. having a child before married is not a good idea, makes you only known to be the town tramp. but thats only my opinion.
