How late should a 12 year old get to sleep in on her first day of Christmas brea!

Question: It's after ten. How much longer should I give her? We have THINGS to do!

First of all, wow, I am surprised that your school district is out for Christmas break already. My kids go to school through Friday.

Ok, now for your question. . .normally, I'd let her sleep as long as she wants. But I've never known my kids to sleep past 8:30 or 9:00 on a non-school day. But since you have things to do that require her getting up, I'd say past 10:00 is late enough. She has many more days to sleep 'til noon (or whenever). Plus, you have to allow time for her to shower, etc. and then you're looking at noon before you get going. So, get her up NOW.

Just let her sleep...that's more alone time for you. Take advantage of it. Plus, if she gets her sleep, she won't be cranky.

Just leave her if possible. Do what you can without her.

I say give her until noon. It is the first day of break after all. The stores are all open late anyway.

I think that she should be allowed to sleep as late as she wants to, unless there is something that needs to be done and simply cannot wait.

As long as she wants.

OMG, Christmas break, already? If you have stuff to do, get her up!

Next week I will let my 14 and 15 year olds sleep until they wake up!

If there are things she needs to do, wake her up. If not, let her sleep.

as long a she wants to. she knows that yall have things to do tomorrow. therefore she should be able to decide when is the right time to go to sleep.

noon sounds good.

don't be so pushy mom!!!!!!!

hehehehe,

If you have things to do then wake her up so you can get them done, otherwise let her sleep until she wakes up.

obviously you don't have very important THINGS to do or you wouldn't have time to ask this question.

get to sleep just more to be rest beacuse tired toplay.

I'd say until her little body wakes her up. 10 is still pretty early for a growing body that's been sooo active these past few weeks. Maybe let her sleep good and hard, today, but then tell her that perhaps she could sleep until xx:xx for the remainder of her break. Good luck!

I'm thinking SHE would say until the SECOND day of Christmas break, but if you have something fun to do, ten is plenty.
