Not sure personally, however it must be because so many people live in it.... I think that the ignorant don't know any better....
No. Ignorance is extremely costly. It creates pain and havoc in the world which is why education and enlightenment is so important. Maybe the low foreheads will grow up and stop making wars, maybe the underdeveloped will develop and get lives of their own and learn that murder and revenge solves nothing, that other lives matter.
Maybe with some education and enlightenment we can finally get past ourselves and the half life some of us live and in our wholeness look to the future and to things like exploration and discovery and creativity.

Yes, Ignorant people are ALWAYS breeding. And breeding always seems to involve a lot of ... bliss! LOL
