When working under-covers, do you try not to make a noise in case someone catche!

Question: Well, I work nightshift in a care of the elderly home so I have to be very quiet when I go into their room to check under their covers (to make sure they're still dry). But they always wake up quickly because I generally have cold hands!!!! esp. in this weather, so whether or not I make a noise is irrelevant after my cold hands have found their way onto your whatsits!!!!!!! ARgghhhh.......
