Question: nowadays, being gay is normal. yes, but people are treating it like a trend as if its "emo" or "goth". people actually be gay to be cool. has anyone else noticed that?

I personally believe that some gay people are trying to make other people gay.... starting with the elementry kids...

I don't think people are gay just to be cool, its whats right for them. Its good that people aren't as prejudiced anymore
I've never noticed being gay to be cool, or a fad for guys, but I have noticed that women seem to use "bisexuality" or "bi-curiosity" as a means to be sexy or get attention. So, it might be a fad for women, which is nauseating to me. I think people should be who they are, and I don't care if they are gay or straight, just be "ReaL."
Oh yes that trend IS noticeable, but at the same time so were slap-bracelets.
Being gay is as old as mankind... probably even beforehand.
People who treat it as being some sort of pop culture really need to read a book if you ask me.

I couldn't agree more. A friend of mine is gay. He wears really nice clothes and is very trendy. Another friend of mine really took a liking to his lifestyle and all of a sudden, he decided he was gay to. I asked him if he truly was gay and honestly interested in only men. He answered me by saying that he wasn't really into the "sex" part with guys but liked everything else about it. I said to him if your gay then great , but if your not, you can still be fashionable and look great. his final statement to me was "gotta go with the flow honey"
i dont really have any gay kids in my school. maybe there are some but i dont know.
First off, I don't think being gay today is considered normal. It is much more accepted than it ever has been, but a majority of people still are against it.
Second, I don't think of has become a trend, or a cool one at that. More gay people are comfortable to come out of the closet nowadays because they have support from the gay community (now that there is a public one). That is why it may seem there is more of them.
Personally, for me, it all comes down to this: you can't make a baby with two men, or two women. Otherwise, leave me alone and we're all good.
