Is it wrong to celebrate Christmas the family way a week after?!

Question: Don't get me wrong, we are going to celebrate Christmas the way it should be celebrated on Christmas Day, but we aren't going to do the gift exchange thing because I don't get paid until after Christmas

That is perfectly fine! The gift exchange is just that, a gift exchange* The Christmas day celebration is a birthday!!!
I remember when my youngest son was 5 and towards the end of that Christmas day, he said "mama we forgot to have a Birthday cake for Jesus"! It is one of the dearest memories I have of my son*

That's understandable.

Baby, you can give me a present any day you want.

no

thats a fair reason, ive done that before myself.cheers and have a great day anyway! :)

I'm doing the same thing! there is nothing wrong with that. plus we get to avoid the crowds at the mall!

Ever since I can remember I have never opened presents on Christmas. We always used to do it on January sixth, which is a holy day to us. It's the Epiphany, when the three kings actually brought presents to Jesus you know. Now we just do it whenever everyone can fly in. This year, the 30th. There are twelve days of Christmas you know! You should celebrate them all:)

I have done it that way and we are not alone! Do it the way you need to. Remember Christmas is a feeling and if you are worried about the manger thing and that baby that was their remember they didn't store the birth certificates in the computer! I don't know if anyone really knows the true date of that baby's birth. So go with the feelings of Christmas and celebrate it when it is convenient to you and yours.
