I would not consider doing anything on a dare unless it was stated in the form of a challenge which would lead to some kind of positive outcome. Seems to me that to accept a dare simply to impress another would be merely to entertain them with a display of ignorance fueled by weakness. And many people have got dead on that note.
Growth and knowledge can come from accepting and conquering a worthy challenge.
Ignorant dares come from sadistic cowards for the sole reward of humiliating their approval seeking weak prey - stupidity should be painful.
However, it might also depend on who is at the other end of the street :) jk
