First, do you enjoy the dog races? Second, the majority of Americans are sleep deprived. Consider those thoughts and make your decision. If you have something important to do tomorrow, then sleep is probably your best option.
Go to bed early. Sleep is always good, and you can see your friends tomorrow, and have a lot more energy.

The way my mind works. I would say...It depends on what you plan on doing in bed.
if the dog races is too long then don't go. everybody needs about 6-8 hr. of sleep. or you could go and stay awhile then come back.
