I never got the perfume, but definitely the warmth of the embrace, and very nearly the feeling of a cheek. The strangest thing is when this happens with someone you've never actually hugged in person. :)

when my daughters sms 'hugs' or 'love you lots', I know it is genuine and from the heart and I feel warm knowing this. I don't get the feeling of their cheek or anything but I do feel loved.

I received a mail with a fantastic design of a teddy bear (with the comment that I resemble to one) and wishes ending to a hug, and I really felt this warmth. Even if from another continent.
