I over heard my wife say she needed a stud finder as she tried to nail bookshelv!

Question: Does this mean she is looking for someone else?

Answers: Does this mean she is looking for someone else?

I'd begin to worry. She might be looking for me (I'm by appointment only these days). I can find a stud better than any o' those new-fangled de-vices they got on the market. It's real simple. Just keep knockin' lightly at the wall surface until the sound becomes more solid. And never, ever use nails in drywall. Waist of time & effort. Screws ... with dry-wall anchors (if it's dry-wall). Particle wood or natural, anchors obviously anchors not needed. So ... where are you when she could really use your advice?

are you serious? i hope not, but if you are, no....it's a tool to see where you can and can't nail/hang stuff on a wall.

NO WAY!!! She needed a stud finder because you're supposed to put nails in the STUDS in the WALL so they don't pull out when you put weight on w/e they are holding up. A stud finder helps you figure out where those studs are, so you don't put holes all over the wall before you find them.

I think so, pal. She may be about to put you out to pasture. Good one!

WHAT ? WITH YOU AROUND ? STOP FISHING FOR COMPLIMENTS . HOW OFTEN HAVE I TO TELL YOU THAT ?

yup, she's looking for a new stud alright...

you should just go up to her and nail her in her bookshelve. =D

She's just too cute. If you don't want her I'll take her. Wanna arm wrestle?

i have one she can borrow.
