Go onto the internet or put a dvd on.
My kids normally hog the tv anyway!
yeah i am in the uk as well and the tv is rubbish, its been so rubbish that the only reason i have switch on my tv is to play my playstation 2 and xbox 360
when the tv is crap i go on my laptop and on my ps2/xbox 360
Haha there are some pretty naff films on, today's fare is awful!
Unfortunately, sitting on Yahoo Answers is the only solution I have found so far - everyone else is busy or stressed out with their turkey.

I know exactly what you mean you'd think with the price of tv licenses they'd put better stuff on and not repeats most of the time. Nevermind Happy Christmas anyway.
get on the phone,invite a few friends round,have a few beers,then hump the night away.
The only half decent film on normal TV which they play every year and I have seen hundreds of times is Speed lol! And its only on at like 11.30pm. Apart from that its pretty crap, although there are a few malcolm in the middles and simpsons on during the day which is good!
buy yourself some DVDs and microwave popcorn and chill out that's what I'm gonna do.
or what about catching up with friends over the festive period?

I either play on my PS2 , go on my laptop , read a book or practice my shooting at basketball but I agree TV is crud as usual ..even with digital TV which gives 100+ more channels.
I fanny about on the internet.....
get a massive satellite dish , get the chinese and hong kong channels and have a jolly good laugh at the chinese footy commentary
