No, I have two of my friends over on Christmas because they are single. They are brothers and they have no other family so I have them over to my house every year to have dinner with us.

One of the minor annoyances of my life as a single man is the fact that every holiday season the news media invariably runs a story about how many single people get depressed and kill themselves. This makes people I haven't heard from all year call me up and say "Hi, how are you doing...?".
I'm always tempted to say something like: I'll be OK once I get this hose over the exhaust pipe of the car now that I've finished sealing the garage.
