Should music lyrics be rated similar to the way movies are rated?!

Question: Athough the idea seems very logical, I don't think there could be such a system for music because there is simply too much content to analyze, not enough man power to do the job, and also no real concrete framework for what to judge by. Although we can currently easily rate songs simply based on whether or not the song has "bad words" and slap an "explicit" label on it, there is no current organization that deals with actually screening every single song on every single album for it's actual meaning and specific content with relation to how appropriate is for certain ages, and considering that there are countless bands putting out countless albums with countless amounts of songs and their respective lyrics, and so many different interpretations of various song lyrics, I highly doubt a ratings system for lyrics; at least one that is similar to movie and game ratings, would be practical and that is probably why, although it seems like an obvious concept, the idea has never been and, I think, probably never will be put into practice anywhere.

Man, you ask the hard questions that need to be asked in life....

Ermmm

They are, in the UK at least.

Not only do songs not get ratings when they are released, and bad language warnings on albums, but we have recently had the nations biggest radio station bleeping out words from "Fairytale in New York" by The Pogues & Kirsty McColl
