i got a violation and deletion for my little rant at someone's question - they were bashing the christmas/christian holidays! i told them what i thought of them and all their little friends!
they reported me and thats fine, i know i'm in the right and their reporting me just shows you that they can dish it out but they can't take it!

I didn't know that was happening. That is ridiculous, especially when you see some of these other questions that don't get deleted. Merry Christmas questions are harmless and it is that time of year. I don't get it. Merry Christmas to you and everyone else.
I guess because it is not really appropriate for questions and answers. If it is to be politically correct because not everyone celebrates Christmas, then that sucks. I'm tired of being told Happy Holidays. Too bad if someone doesn't celebrate it. Get over it. But most likely it's because it isn't a Question/Answer, just a wish sent out to people so that isn't part of what this forum is for.
Because some people on here might be atheists and don't want to see the word Christ used in a holiday that I am sure they celebrate. So, to be safe, you should just say Happy Holidays!

As for Merry Christmas, well, most of the world's population is made up of non-Christians, some of whom take offense at references to a religion based on the alleged philosophy of Jesus Christ.
