WHY do people???!
Question: Why are there some jerks out there who give thumbs down to EVERYONE no matter what they say?
I answered a question about an hour ago about what made me smile today (in the polls section), and people said stuff like "caroling at the hospital, making dinner with my sons - 3rd year since my wife died, spending time with family, etc" and they all got thumbs down! mine was "looking at my left hand because i just got proposed to!" and i got thumbs down too.
do they do it cuz they're bored? or just plain old as$holes?
I mean, I understand we shouldn't take offence to it considering it is just Y!A but it still is annoying.

I agree. You look for the one that doesn't have the thumbs down (usually last to post) and give them a thumbs down for giving everyone else EXCEPT themselves a thumbs down.

I know!! What is the point? I got thumbs down for answering what my favorite ice cream is or something. I just thought it was another way to get points or some other silly thing on here I don't understand yet. I'm new.
Well, you did a wonderful job of answering your own question! I guess what I would add is that one needs to remember the source that it came from and let it go. There are some people that find pleasure in saying hurtful things and maybe this is the only place that they may be able to get away with it. Also, maybe in the real world these people would never openly say what they are really thinking.
