I don't. I try to show the elderly respect when I talk to them. That's the way I would want it when I become elderly.

Street slang is fine when you're trying to fit in with your peers. After all, nothing displays your uniqueness like acting and talking the same way as everyone else.
But for normal interaction with other human beings, clear communication should always be used.
As for the elderly, they should be treated with nothing but respect and kindness. I cannot understand why basic good manners have evaporated.
