Every generation gets the same bull from the previous. I grew up in the 60s and to hear my parents generation tell it, we invented booze, drugs, crime, wild music, wild parties,.and sex.
Well, mom and pop, then please explain the Roaring 20s with its speakeasies, opium dens, gangsters, flapper girls, etc.
Also, by this perverted logic, the earliest cavemen must have been perfect:
"Hey Grog, can you believe the kids these days?"
"Yea, Ug, why can't they go naked like us? And what's the deal with this "wheel" thing and fire?"

Ever hear of the greatest generation? They had guts and pulled together against all odds. That is well before my time, but it is true whether you want to accept it or not as the choice is yours.

...no I had to break my cycle ... I looked down at the "blood & booze under my nails" before any decision had to made ..... and made no decision in anger .... trying to to find that peaceful plain that had escaped so much in the past.
As much as I agree with the statement, I do get tired of hearing it be implied. It's like, "Yeah, the world sucks now, why are you complaining? You won't be around to see it when it gets really bad, you'll be dead by then."
It has undoubtedly been like that forever and a day. You will be like that too when you get older. Maybe not, but chances are you will be.

they are really saying that they can't remember the cons of their generation and are focusing on the cons of the younger one. Really I don't think too many things change and the things that do off set each other.
Nonsense, everybody wants to blame someone else for all the problems in society, hell the previos generations didn't have half the resources or problems or people that this one does.

Well a generation is at least 50.1 years. Not sure but I do tire of hearing at the end of high school graduation speeches how the graduating class is the next generation. That would mean every year a new generation has come. LOL!!!
