I sure can.
I used to belong to a swimming club when I was a teenager and raced every weekend. I represented my School in Zone and State Championships too. My pet stroke is freestyle, then backstroke and butterfly.
These days I live 200 mtrs from the ocean and surf regularly. No more competitive stuff for me...I'm too old.
